The Community Engagement Initiative is dedicated to facilitating scholarly engagement that crosses the missions of teaching, research/creative activities, and service. Currently three separate grant programs are available for faculty.
Partnership for Arts and Culture Small Grants for Faculty
The PAC mini grant program provides up to $4000 for joint university/community projects focused on societal issues in Delaware through an arts and culture approach. A requirement of the grant is the inclusion of significant involvement with community partners. Work must be completed between January 1-December 31, 2019.
PAC Small Grant Application opens October 1, 2018. Submissions deadline is November 5, 2018. Applicants notified by December 3, 2018
Faculty grants of up to $750 for supplies and expenses to support service components of a course. (Note: Use the Course-based Transportation Mini Grant application t support student transportation to service sites.) Rolling decision.
Faculty grants of up to $1000 to support the cost of transporting students in a course to a service site. Rolling decision.
