Flexible Spending Account (FSA) View
This view shows you your Flexible Spending Account elections for the calendar year. This can be for your FSA Health Care and your FSA Dependent (Day) Care amounts.
- Even if you have participated in an FSA account in the past, you must re-enroll every year. Flexible Spending accounts do not automatically continue from year to year. Open Enrollment for an FSA is in November each year.
- Please keep in mind that the Flexible Spending Accounts Plan includes a 2½ month grace period. This means that a participant who incurs expenses during the grace period may be reimbursed from contributions made in the preceding year. This provides additional time to take advantage of FSA contributions before the amounts are forfeited under the “use-it-or-lose-it” rule. If, however, you do not spend all your FSA money for expenses you incur through the March 15 grace period, you must forfeit any unused balance.
