Kate CopelandKate Copeland has taught languages to students of all ages since 2003. She has a master in French and a master in TESL from the University of Delaware and has taught Academic English classes at the ELI since 2009. She currently designs and delivers course instruction online to both international students of English and ESL/EFL teachers.

Kate has also taught college French, coordinated an elementary world language exploration program in Delaware, and worked with young English Learners from all over the world. Through a collaborative partnership between the ELI and Delaware public schools, she taught Kindergarten through 4th grade curriculum to young ESL students, and provided professional development and support to mainstream teachers with English Learners in their classrooms.

Most recently Kate served as the Project Director for Khbrat Delaware, an expansive teacher training partnership between the ELI, the UD College of Education and Human Development and area public schools to build educational leadership skills of visiting K-12 teachers from Saudi Arabia.

Born in France and a trained classical vocalist, she enjoys music, cooking, yoga, and various community activities.
