The Clouds, Wind, and Climate Lab is home to a passionate team of researchers working towards a better understanding of physical climate processes and how that knowledge can applied to improving climate change outcomes.

Current research areas include:

  • Physical forcing processes at the atmospheric and ocean boundary layer in the cryosphere across scales.
  • Arctic energy balance.
  • Radiative transfer and impact on boundary layer clouds.
  • Coastal and offshore winds for renewable energy applications.
  • Improving modeling and predictability of coastal winds, particularly sea breezes.
