The Clouds, Wind, and Climate Lab is home to a passionate team of researchers working towards a better understanding of physical climate processes and how that knowledge can applied to improving climate change outcomes.
Current research areas include:
- Physical forcing processes at the atmospheric and ocean boundary layer in the cryosphere across scales.
- Arctic energy balance.
- Radiative transfer and impact on boundary layer clouds.
- Coastal and offshore winds for renewable energy applications.
- Improving modeling and predictability of coastal winds, particularly sea breezes.
