Delaware Behavioral & Emotional Support Teams (DE BEST)

DMRC Mission Statement

To serve the state of Delaware by establishing, implementing, and sustaining Delaware’s reserve units of medical and non-medical volunteers to strengthen the public health infrastructure, improve emergency preparedness response, and increase community resilience in Delaware.

The Delaware Behavioral & Emotional Support Team (DE BEST) Members are volunteers who are trained to assist victims and first responders during AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER emergencies and disasters with behavior and emotional supports.

Our BEST Volunteers assist with shelter counseling, community crisis response, referrals within the community and much more.

Anyone can be one of Delaware’s BEST.  Mental health professionals, Chaplains, pastors or any individual with a caring heart and a willingness to listen can make a significant difference during someone’s greatest  time of need.

Contact DMRC DE BEST if you would like additional information, or if you are interested in joining our DE BEST team!
