Brooke, Catherine, Ellie, and Mariah attended Bristol Myers Squibb’s (BMS) annual Women in Chemistry Event, held at the BMS site in New Brunswick, New Jersey, on October 25. They had the opportunity to tour BMS facilities, network with current BMS scientists, and learn about exciting opportunities in industry post-graduation. They also attended workshops on feeling supported as women in a historically men-dominated field. Ellie and Mariah presented brief research talks at the event on the group’s current efforts in borylation and aza-Heck chemistry. Catherine also presented a poster on our recently published atroposelective reductive cross-coupling to synthesize bespoke MOP-type ligands (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2024, 146, 26, 17606–17612)
