Michael Towey, M.A., CCC-SLP is an ASHA Fellow. He directs the National Center for Telepractice Training, the only telepractice training program in the United States accredited by the American Telemedicine Association. Mike directs Speech Language Pathology Department and the Voice and Swallowing Center of Maine,makes national and international presentations, and has written journal articles about telepractice. He is also an active telemedicine practitioner, providing treatment in voice and swallowing disorders to adults and children.
Nathan Curtis, M.A., CCC-SLP, is Coordinator of SLP Clinical Services at Waldo County General Hospital (WCGH). He has thirty-seven years of experience working with preschool and school-aged children using a family-systems approach. Nathan coordinates and provides speech telepractice services using a team approach. He has a strong interest in peer coaching, coaching in real time during teletherapy, and building partnerships with families and teachers. Nathan is a lead instructor and mentor in the ATA accredited speech telepractice training program at WCGH.
