Welcome to UD!

We’re very excited to have you as part of the UD community. At the same time, we know that your prior experiences have been indelibly marked by the COVID-19 pandemic. For those who have surrendered moments, missed milestones, or lost loved ones, know that there are common experiences among us. Know that you have fellow Blue Hens near and far who are still grieving all that the last 18 months has brought us.

Starting this fall, 2021, CCSD has permanently relocated our counseling services to The Wellbeing Center at Warner Hall at the south end of The Green.

The hours for CCSD this fall will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 8 a.m – 5 p.m.  Wednesday hours will be 8 a.m – 7 p.m.   Consultation and emergency hours will be:  M-F, 1-4.

We all approach wellbeing in different ways. Whether you want to connect and process your experiences with others on a similar path, or just focus on the future, your journey is valid and we’re here to support you in it. Uncertainty continues ahead until we can put the pandemic firmly behind us, so we hope you’ll stop by to check out the new Wellbeing Center in UD’s historic Warner Hall even if you don’t feel like you need any support for your wellbeing right now. You’ll find space to hang out, conduct meetings, and attend events — alongside a full range of confidential services for your health, wellness, sense of connection, and ability to thrive.

Give yourself some grace and space as you head into this new semester and remember why you were admitted to the University of Delaware: your unique qualifications and personality make you a great fit to thrive as a Blue Hen.

Be well,

Drs. Brad Wolgast and Mary Anne Lacour,
