Racism and Xenophobia against  Asian Pacific Islander and Desi American (APIDA) community has increased due to Covid-19.  Public officials have contributed to xenophobia by referring to the virus in racist terms. UD students and community members have experienced hate crimes in the form of harassment, being told to go back to China and have experienced a recent threat by receiving racist flyers on their doors and cars.  We are appalled and condemn hate and racism. The CCSD recognizes the fear, pain and anger experienced by our Asian Community.  We stand in solidarity with you and are available to provide a safe space for you to talk and seek support.
