  • Graduates please report to the Rodney Dining Hall no later than 12:00 pm, in your regalia (cap w/tassel, gown, and hood).
  • Any personal items should be given to a family member (i.e. purses, phones, etc.) NO personal items are to be left in the Rodney Dining Hall.
  • Tickets are not issued/required – this is a large venue.
  • Guests may begin taking their seats (about noon) after the audience from the previous ceremony clears the venue.
  • Convocation is the up-close and personal experience for you and your family. In the intimate setting, students will parade in, walk the stage as their name is called, and give family and friends many opportunities for picture taking. Convocation is the recommended event for those guests with mobility challenges.
  • Graduates will complete an information card (while in Rodney Dining Hall); their name will be read from that card as he/she crosses the stage during the Convocation ceremony. Diplomas are not awarded during this ceremony.
  • The tent “floor” is grass and will be uneven and slippery; wearing spike/high heels is discouraged.
  • Visit the University Commencement webpage for information on ordering your cap, gown, and hood. The vendor pre-order deadline is April 16, 2018.
  • After 4/16/2018, contact the UD Bookstore at bksudel@bncollege.com .
