UD-NSLIY Culture Exploration in Shanghai

After the program arrived at Shanghai, we had culture explorations on July 3-5. During which time we visited Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s residence (China’s “George Washington) where the students learned about modern Chinese history; Shanghai Museum where they had the rare opportunity to visit the richest collection of ancient Bronze Utensils (dating back to 1600 BC) in the world; Jade Buddha Temple where they learned about the important role Buddhism has played in Chinese culture, and Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition where they learned about the city’s past, present and future.
