The Confucius Institute at the University of Delaware will celebrate its 5th anniversary with a Chinese Opera Concert at Gore Recital Hall in the Roselle Center for the Fine Arts on UD campus on Saturday October 24, 2015. The celebration will start at 7:30pm with an exhibition highlighting the Institute’s programs and events in the past five years and an hors d’oeuvres reception, followed by a one-hour performance at 8:00pm. The concert features world class professional Chinese opera artists bringing performances of classic excerpts from Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Sichuan Opera and other art forms.
