Interested in learning about the history and development of traditional Chinese Painting? Do you know about the major contributing artists and their artworks in the early 20th century? What are the popular trend in today’s Chinese painting industry? The Confucius Institute is honor to present a lecture on Chinese Painting in celebration of the International Education Week.
Ying He, an associate professor from the School of Business Administration at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China will present “Chinese Painting, an aged but vibrant Art Form” at 4:00pm on this Friday November 21, 2014 at Gore Hall 204.
Professor He is an artist, designer, and educator working in design and art practice. A member of Sichuan Artist Association, Professor He has won many won local and national prizes. He art works are currently collected by private owners and art organizations. She also applies her talent to benefit local communities by designing the school gate and campus cultural construction for Zi Gong Jie Fang Road Middle School, the VI system for bars and teahouses, the emblem and flag for the ‘Statistics Institute of the Southwest University of Finance and Economics’.
