We are currently partnering with Employee Health and Wellbeing to offer the following nutrition and cooking workshops specifically for faculty and staff at the University of Delaware:

Let’s Cook! Vegetarian Cuisine

Wednesday, April 17th (Location: WHL 204)
5 – 6:30 pm

Our Let’s Cook series is a chance for you to get in on the action! Roll up your sleeves because you’ll be doing the slicing and dicing. These hands-on classes are primarily weeknights and are 1.5 – 2 hours long (including eating)! Under the guidance and instruction of a dietitian-nutritionist and/or trained chef, you will work in small groups of 2 to 3 other participants to create one menu item. At the end, each group shares their dish for a collective feast!

  • Whole Grains: Wednesday, February 27th @ 5 pm (Location: Tower at STAR, 100D)
  • Legumes: Wednesday, March 20th @ 5 pm (Locations: WHL 204)
  • Menopause: Wednesday, May 8th @ 5 pm (Location: Tower at STAR, 100D)

Our HealthyU Cooking School classes are demonstration-based. Classes typically run week nights from 5 – 6 pm and feature local dietitians and chefs from the UD area. In demonstration classes, the instructor cooks up one or two dishes for the group to sample, while you listen and watch. The instructor provides recipes and offers tips, tricks and all the info you need to build on your cooking skills and recreate the same dishes at home.

Workshops are led by a registered dietitian-nutritionist and faculty member in Behavioral Health and Nutrition.
