Postion: Postdoctoral Positions in Catalysis
Brief Description: The group of Prof. Raul Lobo is seeking two postdoctoral fellows to pursue research in heterogenous catalysis for the synthesis of glycolic acid using solid acids, and for the chemical deconstruction of polyolefins. The positions are for a period of one year with the potential for extension for a second year. Salaries are competitive and the University of Delaware offers excellent benefits. Candidates are expected to have recently completed their PhD and have previous experience in the evaluation of catalytic materials under high pressures.
One additional position is also available to pursue research in the synthesis and evaluation of metal hydrides for hydrogen storage. This position is for a one-year contract with possible extension for one additional year depending on the availability of funding. The candidate is expected to have experience in the synthesis of porous inorganic solids and their characterization using adsorption methods, optical spectroscopy and diffraction techniques.
