Center for Black Culture Educational Enrichment Scholarship

In 2006, the Center for Black Culture (CBC) Educational Enrichment Scholarship (formerly CBC scholarship) was created to offer need-based financial assistance to Black students for books, study abroad, and, at times, tuition. Typical awards range from $300 - $500 and can be used toward the current or next academic semester. Award recipients will receive an invitation to provide an impact statement after receiving the award.

Guidelines: Awards are for full-time University of Delaware students enrolled for at least one semester before receiving the award (preference given to undergraduates with a minimum of 2.0 GPA).

To apply: Please complete the online application. Write a personal statement, no more than one page, introducing yourself and highlighting the qualifications that make you the best candidate for the scholarship. The letter should concisely define you, your goals and explain your financial needs.

Deadlines: The deadlines to apply for 2023 are May 31st, August 7th, and October 30th. Applicants will be notified via email within three weeks after each deadline.
