Curriculum Vitae
Bio

Banjit Singh
Graduate Student
My primary research focuses on memory and the various errors we make. More specifically, I study certain types of memory errors which reveal the underlying mechanisms behind visual perception. I investigate boundary extension, an anticipatory memory error of commission, by exploring the conditions in which it is elicited.

Recent Undergraduate Researcher Alumni

Ruiming (Yolanda) Du
Former Undergraduate Researcher
Ruiming was a Psychology major and Education minor. She contributed to ongoing research on spatial memory for scenes in peri-personal space. Her senior project examined the boundary extension effect from a cross-cultural perspective.
Heather Marsh
Former Undergraduate Researcher
Heather was a Cognitive Science major. She contributed to ongoing research on spatial cognition in preschool children by determining if the medium of presentation (physical photos vs. photos on computer screens) affects children’s spatial memory. Heather was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society in May, 2018.
Mariela Jimenez
Former Undergraduate Researcher
Mariela was a Neuroscience major. She contributed to ongoing research on the effects of pattern regularity and grouping on boundary extension. Mariela went onto a Research Assistantship at Drexel University for two years studying Autism and then the Clinical Ph.D. Program at the University of Massachusetts at Boston.

Cooper McAllister
Former Undergraduate Researcher
Cooper was a Psychology major. His senior thesis explored the effects of semantic relatedness of objects on spatial memory for 3-D scenes.
Caitlin Serva
Former Undergraduate Researcher
Caity was a Neuroscience and Art double major. Her research explored the effects of object placement on
boundary extension. Caity will be starting a Physician Assistant graduate program at Wingate University in North Carolina in Fall 2020.
