A Canvas production update will occur on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Check out the full release notes. Production updates occur on third Saturday of each month, and the next planned update is Saturday, September 17, 2021. Updates in the current release include:
New Quizzes – Quiz Printing
The New Quizzes build page now provides the ability to print New Quizzes with two options: Print Key (with Answers) and Print Blank Quiz.
Both quiz options will display a Print Quiz window to allow for text size. By default, medium text is selected for the quiz printout. The Print Quiz window retains the text size selected in the previously printed quiz. To always reset the text size to medium, instructors can deselect the checkbox at the bottom of the window.
Conferences Link Update (August 4 Deploy)
The Conferences course navigation Link has been replaced with the our institution’s Canvas conferences provider, Big Blue Button. No functionality has been affected.
The Formerly Conferences designation will be removed from the link in the 2021-12-18 Canvas release.
SMS Notifications for Announcements and Grading: End of Life (July 31, 2021)
Canvas has discontinued the SMS notifications service for Announcements and Grading on July 31, 2021. This change removes the SMS notifications column from your account and course notifications settings. For more information on the SMS notifications deprecation, please see the Canvas@UD release notes blog post, Canvas Release Notes – May 16, 2020.
Feature Option Terminology (July 21 Deploy)
The Feature Options tab in course Settings has been relabeled as Feature Previews. Please note that any instructions that use the Feature Options tab will be replaced, but is the same tool as the new Feature Previews tab.
