A Canvas production update will occur on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Check out the full release notes.  Production updates occur on third Saturday of each month, and the next planned update is Saturday, August 21, 2021. Updates in the current release include:

New Quizzes – Modules Workflow Improvement
If you are embedding New Quizzes in your course Modules, this change provides improved module navigation for students.  Up until now, students who participated in a New Quizzes quiz while in a module were returned to the module page, losing their position within the module.  Now when a student navigates to a new quiz or resumes a new quiz from Modules, the quiz details page is displayed in the module along with module navigation buttons. When the quiz is started or resumed, the quiz opens to the full screen interface. When the quiz is submitted, the student is returned back to the quiz details page at their current position within the module.

Pages – Mark as Done Button Placement (July 7 deploy)
When students are required to read a page and mark it as done as part of a module requirement, the Mark as Done button has been moved to the bottom of the page. The button can be marked more easily after students have reached the bottom of the page to move to the next module item. Previously users needed to scroll back up to the top of the page to mark the page as done.
