Two new roles in Canvas are being added for fall: a Testing Assistant and Resource Assistant. We are hoping that by creating these additional roles, we create a better learning environment for students. When students use the People tool, they can see users in a course. By carefully selecting an appropriate role for anyone you add to your course, it reduces confusion when a student needs help. To help instructors decide which role is appropriate, we have created a guide (see below) including a table outlining the permissions each role takes on once added to a Canvas course site.
