With the implementation of course start and end dates, you may be wondering how student access to your course is handled outside of those dates. As long as your course is published, enrolled students will be able to participate in your course during the course start and end dates. If for any reason participation needs to extend beyond the start and end dates, you will have to go into Settings and change these dates.
After the course ends, students may view your course in a read-only mode, but they cannot participate.
If you wish to prevent students from viewing a course after the end date, you cannot unpublish a course once it includes a graded submission.
So what are your options?
*If you are changing only the start or end date, you still must specify both dates.
