Module Materials and Instructions

When reading a soil analysis report, understanding the phosphorus and potassium concentrations can be tricky because laboratories may use different testing methods or report in different units. This fact sheet will make you aware of differences in reporting units and teach you how to convert between soil tests.

Upon completion of this module, you will:

  1. Understand the results of a soil test for phosphorus and potassium; and
  2. Be able to compare and convert soil test phosphorus and potassium results from private soil testing laboratories to University of Delaware reporting units.
