He has loved doing activities and competitions in photography and horticulture areas. He also enjoyed serving as a camp counselor for the Environmental camp and Animal Science Camp during the summer as well as submitting exhibits for the Delaware State Fair. Gabriel Trunfio- Stump Corner, C-3 Club

Gabriel Trunfio is a 13-year member of Stump Corner 4-H Club in New Castle County. He attended meetings even before he was able to join as a Cloverbud. During that time, he has participated in Horticulture and Wildlife Judging, Demonstrations, Hiking and Outdoor Adventures, and Community Service projects through his club. In 2022, he was chosen to attend National 4-H Congress and he just returned from a fantastic National 4-H Conference experience. He attended Environmental camp as soon as he turned 8 and was hooked on 4-H camps. Since that time, he has attended State 4-H Camp as a proud T-Bird (he was chosen as the Head H in 2022) and has been a day camp counselor. Gabe is the current President of both New Castle County Jr Council and the county Camp Counselor Club (C-3). He will graduate from Middletown High School on June 10, 2023 and will major in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Delaware this fall.

Jacob Green-Summit Bridge

Jacob is a senior at Middletown High School. He has been a proud member of 4-H for 11 years.  During his time in 4-H, he has served as reporter, community service officer, treasurer, secretary, vice president and has been the president for Summit Bridge 4-H Club for the past two years.  At Middletown High, he is a member of the National Honor Society and the FFA.  This year, he got to represent Delaware for dairy handling at the FFA National Convention. He placed silver nationally.  He is a member of JOAD Archery League and loves to compete at 4-H sponsored events.  He is looking forward to competing in archery and doing dairy handling at the Delaware State Fair this year, as well as getting to see his friends.  This summer he will be busily working at his grandparents’ farm and Cowgirl Creamery.  Next year, he will attend University of Delaware. He was accepted into the Medical Diagnostics Pathway.  His hope is to become a Pediatrician or Physician Assistant specializing in pediatrics when he graduates.
