What makes spring in Delaware special? Have you observed something in nature you’d like to share? In honor of spring, the New Castle County 4-H Links are sponsoring a contest for New Castle County 4-H members to share a video or send in a picture with an essay on some topic related to spring in Delaware. Suggested topics for your essay could be
· Delaware native plants
· The life of insects
· Observing animal behavior
· Pollinators in our garden
· How can creatures/plants in nature be protected
So answer the question “What do you notice and what excites you in spring?”
You can enter once in each category video and photo/essay. Submit your entries to Jacqui Malizia by emailing to Jacquelinemalizia@gmail.com. (please send link to the video for review of Judging committee) Deadline for submission is Friday, May 21st. Winners will be selected in both categories, in each age group with the following prizes: Beginner (8-12 yrs), Junior (13-15 yrs) and Senior (15+)
