State Fair Entries:
The NCC office will take down fair entries for those who are unable to do so themselves. This, of course, has to be within reason. We are unable to transport very large entries such as table settings, large woodworking items or large potted plants.
Non-perishable entries are due to the office for transportation by 3:00 on Friday, July 14.
Perishable entries are due to the office for transportation by 3:00 on Wednesday, July 19.
Clubs and members are responsible for picking up their exhibits at the Fair on Sunday, July 30 between 8:00 am- 12:00 noon. We are suggesting that each club appoint someone to pick up club entries in the event they cannot personally pick them up.
Exhibits that the NCC office transported to the Fair will be brought back up for pick up the week of July 31. We, again, are unable to transport large exhibits like table settings, large woodworking items or large potted plants back to the office. Please pick these up or arrange to have a club member pick them up for you. We will contact members when the exhibits have arrived at the office and been sorted.
**Please note: we try very hard to make sure all exhibits are returned. However, with the sheer volume of 4-H exhibits, every year exhibits do get misplaced. If your exhibit is very important to you, please arrange to pick it up yourself or have someone from your club pick it up to ensure you get it back. Please do not assume exhibits left behind will find their way back to the office.
Each 4-H’er who enters an exhibit in the fair will receive a fair pass. We will not have these in the office for pick up until after all the exhibits are delivered to the Fair. We will send an email to announce when these passes are available for pick up.
Active organizational and club project leaders will also receive a fair pass. Again, the office will send an email when these passes are available for pick up.
To lessen confusion, if you are picking up a pass for someone other than yourself or are having someone else pick up your pass for you, please make these arrangements with that person and then call the office to let us know before the pass is picked up. As you may imagine, it is frustrating to make the trip to the office to pick up your pass, only to find out that it has already been picked up by someone else.
