Sharing Connections in 2021-22 and Building for Future Success

 

Objectives:

· Provide a quarterly opportunity in 2021-22 for 4-H youth and leaders to connect with Delaware 4-H alumni and community stakeholders for virtual or in-person sharing and learning sessions focused on personal and professional growth around different workforce development careers and career readiness.

· Build a cohort of youth who will participate in workshops on resume writing, interview skill development and mock interviews mentored and facilitated by community partners, stakeholders, and 4-H staff.

 

Dates and Times of “4-H Sharing Connections” Virtual Sessions

 

Session One: May 20, 2021 7pm

Session Two: September 9, 2021 7pm

Session Three: January 6, 2022 7pm

Session Four: February 3, 2022 7pm

 

Dates and Times of Resume Writing and Interview Skills Workshops

Workshop One: September 28, 2021 6:30pm

Workshop Two: October 12, 2021 6:30pm

Workshop Three: October 26, 2021 6:30pm

Mock Interviews: November 10, 2021 6:30pm

By developing a mutual educational connection between 4-H Alumni, community partners and stakeholders with members of the 4-H community through the sharing of knowledge based around different workforce development careers, participants will have a clearer understanding of how 4-H can assist them to better shape their decision and preparation towards future career success. In addition, developing positive relationships with 4-H mentors who can continue to guide participants will further enhance the strength of the youth-adult partnership for which 4-H has always been known.

Building new and beneficial relationships between 4-H youth and adult volunteers through this new program will be a positive outcome for all involved.
