Hello 4-H Families!

The pollen count is high, and the weather has been nice the last couple of weeks with the rain coming- of course, on AG Day weekend! This only means one thing in the 4-H world, summer is around the corner! This month is a busy one with scholarships applications due, demonstrations, Skill-a-thon contests, animal judging contests, livestock weigh ins and tagging, and more! Be sure, as always to take the time to go through all the newsletter so you don’t miss any opportunities!

We would like to congratulate all our 2025 Senior 4-H members. We are so excited for you to explore the next chapter of life whether it be in college or joining the workforce. Be sure to check out all the 4-H seniors in our Senior spotlight!

Thank you to everyone who helped with AG Day. Our club booth was a huge hit with planting wildflowers and talking to the public about the 4-H program. Our Leaders Association had a great day with the food booth. Despite the chance of thunderstorms, it ended up being a great success as always and we hope that you got to come out and enjoy the day as well.

Livestock families and members- please make sure to read all the newsletter as there is important information regarding livestock shows, state fair, YQCA, tagging dates and more. If you have any questions, please let us know.

Delaware State Fair registration is still open. Enter through the Delaware State Fair Exhibitor’s page. Please be make sure you are in the 4-H Section not the Children’s Department. Also, please do not wait until June 1st to enter your Fair exhibits. Make sure to enter them sooner rather than later. The Fair will not allow you to enter anything after June 1st and why end up in a panic situation if something happens while registering last minute?

Guess what? It’s never too early to start working on your record book! I know it seems far off but unfortunately, the summer will fly by, and September will be here before we know it!
