Happy August 4-Her’s,

Wow, where did the summer go? I cannot believe it is already August and we are starting to get ready for the new 4-H year. I hope you were able to participate in all the fun we had over the last two and half months!

Just an FYI- I have a new cell phone number- 302-383-9100. Please use this number if you need to get ahold of me, not the old number. If you still use the old number, I will not be able to reply as I’m no longer using that number.

Congratulations to the following who took on leadership roles this summer at the following camps; they all did a great job converting camps to a virtual platform:

4-H State Camp –

Matthew Trunfio, 1st week Turtle Echo

Jordan Harmon, 1st week Bear Echo

Cole Simpson, 1st week Thunderbird Voice

Jenna Harmon, 1st week Thunderbird Echo

Day Camp Counselors –

Delaware 4-H enrollment and re-enrollment for the 2021-2022 year will start on September 1, 2021. More information and re-enrollment guidelines will be shared with members within the next couple weeks.

I would like to share that Maureen Ernst, 4-H Program Assistant, will be leaving us this week to start an exciting new adventure with Habitat for Humanity. We will miss her here at the office, but know she is not far away and she will continue as a 4-H Volunteer and occasionally help when her schedule suits. We wish her all the best in her next adventure!

Be sure to look at the Delaware 4-H Facebook for news and updates. Thank you for continuing to be patient and on the lookout for changes and upcoming dates as we move forward. If you need anything, please reach out to us, we are here and happy to help with anything you need.

Yours in 4-H,

Ms. Kaitlin
