Operation Christmas Child

Shoebox Distribution Field Trip

As part of the Civic Engagement Initiative to collect donated items for Operation Christmas Child, we want to know how many members and adults are strongly interested in attending the Operation Shoebox event at a Distribution Center outside of Baltimore/DC.

Delaware 4-H will be providing transportation, so we need to know how many members/adults from each county are interested!

Event Details:

Wednesday, November 27, 2019 – 4 hour shift (we are going to request the 10am-2pm shift)

$10 per person

Must be at least 13 years old to participate

Participants who sign up will receive a waiver to complete via email from Samaritans Purse. Once all members of the group complete waivers, the group will receive a Fast Pass and avoid waiting for check in upon arrival.

Upon arrival, all participants will go through an orientation and then proceed to their processing line. There are several jobs on a processing line so everyone can experience different roles. You will get a 30 minute lunch break.

Participants may pack a lunch, snacks and drinks. Chick-Fil-A has also been on site in past years for purchase of food.
