BS IN NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES
WHAT IS THE NUTRITIONAL SCIENCES MAJOR?
This major is designed to focus on building a strong science foundation focused in biology, physiology, and chemistry. The integration of science and nutrition through the Nutritional Sciences major will successfully prepare you to pursue an advanced degree in nutrition, medicine, dental, pharmacology, physical therapy, or other related health professions.
The option to combine the Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics major is available to students who want to conduct nutrition research or apply to a dietetic internship.

The Nutritional Sciences major will successfully prepare you to pursue an advanced degree in nutrition, medicine, dental, pharmacy, physical therapy, or other related health professions. With science as a foundation, Nutritional Sciences prepares future health care professionals. This major can also lead to a career in laboratory research in pharmaceutical or food industries, local and state public health departments, the government such as the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or academia.
