We are here for our UD community during these unprecedented times.  We are open virtually and are scheduling telehealth nutrition counseling appointments for both existing and new patients.  Telehealth can address nutrition concerns for most health conditions including:

      • diabetes
      • high blood pressure
      • heart disease
      • weight loss
      • eating disorders
      • and many others

About the Clinic

Your diet and nutrient intake play an important part in your overall health and well-being.  Our Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN) will perform a thorough nutritional assessment and work with you to create a personalized eating plan to improve your overall health.

The Nutrition Clinic at UD Health has a team of licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs) with specialized training. These RDNs provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and nutrition counseling for the following conditions:

  • Bariatric surgery (pre/post-surgery)
  • Cancer
  • Diabetes
  • Eating disorders
  • Food and drug interactions
  • Food intolerance and allergies
  • Gastrointestinal disorders
  • Heart disease
  • High cholesterol
  • Hypertension
  • Kidney disease
  • Osteoporosis
  • Sports nutrition
  • Weight control (loss or gain)

Our RDNs perform a thorough assessment of your overall nutritional status which includes a review of your medical history and biochemical lab tests, and assessment of your height, weight, body mass index, dietary intake, eating habits, and nutritional supplement intake. RDNs then work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan.

  • Sessions also include recipes, tips for shopping, eating out, and planning meals and exercise

We offer an integrated approach which includes consultation with other health care providers to tailor a treatment plan that specifically meets your needs.

Sharon Collison

Sharon Collison


Sharon Collison is a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist, she is also board certified in sports dietetics. Ms. Collison has a Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition with a focus in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. She specializes in providing medical nutrition therapy for weight management, disordered eating, sports, wellness and cardiovascular nutrition.
Maryann Eastep

Maryann Eastep


Maryann Eastep is a licensed, registered dietitian nutritionist with more than 25 years of experience. She has a Master of Science in Health Promotion. Ms. Eastep specializes in providing medical nutrition therapy for weight management (including bariatric nutrition), diabetes, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and renal nutrition.
Donna Paulhamus

Donna Paulhamus


Donna is a licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with experience in pediatric and adult clinical nutrition counseling.  Before coming to the University of Delaware, she managed research programs focusing on food environments and their impact of public health at the University of Pennsylvania and pediatric growth and bone assessment methods at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.  She is the Director of the UD Health Nutrition Clinic and oversees the PreventT2 National Diabetes Prevention Program at UD.
