Melanie A. Horning, RN, BSN is a graduate student at the University of Delaware, working towards her Ph.D. in Nursing Science. Melanie has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1998) from the University of Baltimore, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2004) from the University of Delaware’s Accelerated Program. Her career as a Medical-Surgical Nurse has drawn her towards professional interests in Health Promotion and Palliative Care. She is particularly looking forward to working with Dr. Regina Sims Wright on the Reduced Endothelial Function, Brain, and Cognition COBRE grant study because it incorporates Melanie’s first love, Psychology, while exploring an intersect between physical and cognitive functioning. Personal interests include reading, traveling, photography, and portrait-painting.
