As promised, here are the photos from my week. I was too exhausted from the incredible heat in Cordoba to upload photos. As you can see, I’m very busy every day and it’s completely worth it to be viewing Spanish history and experiencing the culture.
Thursday- Hiked up to Albaicin to get the best paella ever. Our waitress was an incredibly sweet and entertaining gypsy woman who kept boasting she danced for Michelle Obama.
Friday- Admiring the Arabic architecture at the Alhambra, the most popular historical tourist attraction in Spain. It served as an Arabic fortress/castle for hundreds of years before the Catholics came.
Friday- Forgetting to look up during the Alhambra would have made me miss this.
Saturday- Just hiking up the Sierra Nevada and we found this religious shrine of sorts to what appeared to be the Virgin Mary. Below is more of the mountain.
Saturday- Made a friend after hiking!
Sunday in Cordoba- the unique mix of a mosque and cathedral is evident in this picture.
