What can I do to improve the audio of my recording?

The UD Capture Classroom Capture microphone is located on or near the podium, sometimes hanging from the ceiling. Make sure you and presenters are at the podium as much as possible – this gives a better audio recording. If the audience ask questions, it’s best to be repeat the question at the front of the room for the recording.

If you teach in a large classroom, you might be able to use a microphone to amplify your voice in the room. By making your voice louder in the room, the UD Capture Classroom Capture microphone has a better chance of picking you up as well. These are sometimes a flexible microphone mounted to the podium or a wireless lavalier microphone that clips to your clothing. If you are interested in using a microphone to amplify your voice in the room, please contact IT University Media Services Classroom Technology before your next class at 302-831-3546 to inquire about availability and to schedule an orientation.

If there is no audio in the recording, please contact the UD Capture team at IT Academic Technology services at udcapture-info@udel.edu.
