Video Conferencing / Pricing

There are no facility or staff fees associated with a video conference for numbered academic courses.

A test will be arranged prior to the conference date to ensure there are no technical problems. There is no additional cost for a test, except in the case of a multi-point bridge conference (please see the Video Bridge page for more details).

Basic Package

Studio Room Rental (includes 1 hour of technician time for set up and troubleshooting)

  • Internal UD Rate – $60 per hour
  • External Rate – $150 per hour

Producer Package

Studio Room Rental, Full-Time Technician, DVD Recording of Event

  • Internal UD Rate – $125 per hour
    • add video to a website – $50 flat fee
  • External Rate – $250 per hour
    • add video to a website – $100 flat fee

Communicator Package

Studio Room Rental, Full-Time Technician, DVD Recording of Event, Video Conference, Video Test Prior to Event

  • Internal UD Rate – $175 per hour
    • add video to a website – $50 flat fee
    • add additional conferencing site(s) – $60 per hour
  • External Rate – $350 per hour
    • add video to a website – $100 flat fee
    • add additional conferencing site(s) – $120 per hour

Canvas Conferencing; Google Hangouts; Skype

There is no cost for these programs.  Canvas Conferencing is automatically integrated into Canvas course sites,  Google Hangouts is provided as part of the UD Google Apps tools, and Skype is a free downloadable program from their website.

Zoom

Zoom Pro accounts are offered free of charge to instructors for use in UD numbered credit courses.  Additional accounts can be purchased at an educational discount of $60 for a yearly license. Please contact Academic Technology Services to request an account.

There are no facility or staff fees associated with bridged video conferences for numbered academic courses. Please be prepared to provide the course ID and section number associated with the video conference.

For grant-supported or non-academic bridged video conferences the rate is $.25 per minute, per site. Test connections are conducted at the same rate. (For example: A 60 minute conference with 4 participants would have a total cost of $60.)
