Student Leadership Opportunity- Student Conduct Appellate Board

The Office of Student Conduct is currently recruiting students to serve on the Appellate Board.

The Appellate Board is the final reviewing body for all student conduct matters. Student members will have the opportunity to join UD faculty and staff to assist in creating an impact on the community through their service on the Board, by ensuring fairness and consistency of the student conduct process, holding students accountable and maintaining campus safety.  Student members also serve as ambassadors for the Office of Student Conduct at campus events.

By serving on the Board, students can gain valuable critical and analytical thinking skills, improve their time management and professionalism, and learn about civic engagement, consensus building, ethics and integrity. And it’s a great addition to your resume. All majors welcome!

Sean’s House- A safe haven for UD students

Sean’s House is a mental health safe haven for young adults ages 14-24, created by the local non-profit SL24: Unlocke the Light. We promote our guests’ mental wellness by providing access to trained peer support specialists and assistance connecting with community mental health resources, as well as by providing space for guests to do schoolwork, relax with friends, or simply pick up a hot cup of coffee. It is our hope to reduce the rate of youth suicide by providing a place for young adults to feel safe, welcomed, and supported.

Sean’s House is a safe and welcoming place for young adults to take the first step to have an honest conversation about mental health concerns. Sean’s House is not a place offering clinical services. Although at times a person at the facility may be a professional, such individuals are strictly there to provide assistance to visitors towards receiving treatment from outside providers and professionals.

Contact Sean’s House at seanlockeforever@gmail.com and visit them at www.unlockethelight.com
