Curriculum

Degree Requirements for the Associate in Arts can be found in the University of Delaware Academic Catalog.  Students follow the requirements of the year they entered the University of Delaware.  To track your degree progress, please reference your degree audit. *A minimum 2.0 GPA and 60 credits are required for the degree.

University Breadth 

Group A: Creative Arts and Humanities (3 credits)
Group B: History and Cultural Change (3 credits)
Group C: Social and Behavioral Sciences (3 credits)
Group D: Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology (3 credits)
(Up to 3 credits from each of the University Breadth Requirement categories may be used to simultaneously satisfy the College of Arts and Sciences Breadth Requirements.)

Skills Requirements

Mathematics (D- or higher)
MATH 113 or MATH 127; MATH 114; MATH 115 or MATH 221; MATH 117

Foreign Language
Completion of beginning level with D- or higher
OR 3 years of the same high school foreign language with Cs or better
*If your intended major requires foreign language, you should complete this requirement (and up to the 107 level) while in the Associate in Arts Program

Breadth Requirements

Group A: Creative Arts & Humanities (C- or higher)
Minimum: Nine (9) credits in at least two programs

Group B: History and Cultural Change (C- or higher )
Minimum: Nine (9) credits in at least two programs

Group C: Social and Behavioral Sciences (C- or higher )
Minimum: Nine (9) credits in at least two programs

Group D:  Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Technology (C- or higher )
Minimum ten (10) credits in at least two programs, include a lab science
