Esports Arena
Our “Esports Arena” is a facility that will be used to support esports competition and gaming for the campus community. It features 33 gaming PCs, a Nintendo Switch console, a strategy room, and streaming broadcast capabilities.
The Student Centers provides a handful of licenses for some titles in order for users to play without needing to own the game personally. For most competitive games, players usually prefer to use their own accounts in order to maintain their rankings and stat-tracking, so we will provide a small number of licenses for players who want to play on a more casual basis. Each computer in the Esports Arena is installed with software called GGLeap that makes it easy for users to log into whatever accounts they have (Steam, Battle.net, etc) in order to play the games they own.
Library Technology Resources
The Library, Museums and Press has technology equipment available for loan as well as setups for in-building use. At the Help Center in the Morris Library, one can borrow both Windows and Mac laptops, phone charging cables, iPads, headphones, and video adapters for use in classroom presentations. The Student Multimedia Design Center, on the Lower Level of the Morris Library, lends video and still cameras, microphones, lighting kits, tripods, and other multimedia equipment.
In addition to viewing a wide variety of Library-licensed streaming media online, one can also borrow films and documentaries on DVD and Blu-ray as well as video games for many current and legacy consoles. This space also includes specialized studios for Virtual Reality gaming, audio/video recording and editing, and individual or group viewing and gaming stations to facilitate on-site use of collection materials. A 40-seat viewing room outfitted with a high-definition projection system and a variety of playback equipment is also available for scheduling for use by classes utilizing media resources.
The Education Resource Center in Willard Hall offers technology focused on those in the education field and who are engaged in student teaching programs. More information is available about the equipment by visiting the Library’s equipment website.

Limited Hardware Repairs
We offer limited hardware repairs for personally-owned laptops. We can replace batteries, install RAM, hard drives/SSDs, cooling fans, keyboards, wireless network cards and power jacks, anything that is easily removable and is not connected to the motherboard. This, unfortunately, means that we are unable to work on MacBooks, since almost everything is connected to the motherboard. MacBooks are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and will be repaired on a first come, first served basis. We are also unable to replace broken displays, hinges, or cases.
