ENGINEERING SENIOR DESIGN

Do you have an idea for a medical device that needs prototyping, a clinical need that is unmet, or a need for a better alternative to existing medical solutions?

Biomedical Engineering Senior Design is now accepting Project Proposals for the Fall semester.

Submit a project proposal for evaluation!

Submissions due July 15th, at 11:59 PM EST

All healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, industry, business, academia as well as non-profits are welcome. Community members with ideas or unmet needs that can potentially be addressed through the design process are also invited to submit a project proposal *

Senior design is an interdisciplinary program, wherein a team of 3-5 engineering seniors will devote 1200 + hours to developing a solution, for each short-listed project. Sponsors reap additional benefits through exposure to students with creative minds & high employment potential, as well as access to advanced research & technology capabilities at UD.

To date, senior design has partnered with 100 + industry, academic & community sponsors, addressed 500 + design challenges & graduated 2,000 + engineering students.

*All sponsors of design projects would be expected to provide reasonable sponsorship & prototyping fees to support their project, should it be selected by a design team. The level of support would depend on the scope & nature of the project.
