The ASHE Christmas Gala is tomorrow, Friday December 2nd at the Goodstay Center. We will be leaving from behind DuPont at 5:30pm. This annual event is a great opportunity to celebrate another great year with the First State Section!
We will be holding our final general meeting of the fall 2011 semester Thursday December 1st in GORE 204 at 5:30pm (please note the location change, we are not in DuPont as usual). As always, attendance is mandatory, and free pizza will be served. This meeting is extremely important as we will be electing the officers for the 2012 calendar year. Nominations are currently:

Good Afternoon ASHE members,
We are scheduled to take a tour of the DelDOT Under Bridge Inspection Vehicle (UBIV) on Tuesday November 15th. We will meet behind DuPont Hall at 8:30 AM and drive down to Lewes to take an inspection tour of the Lewes Drawbridge. We will be split up into two groups: One group will be taken on the UBIV to inspect the bridge while the other group will be shown the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge. The bridge engineer will rotate both groups so everyone will be able to see everything. After both groups have completed both sessions, they will open and close the bridge a few times so we can take a look at the movable bridge in action. Our tour will end at approximately 12:30 and we will return to campus immediately after if people need to make an afternoon class. We can stop for food on the way back if there is enough interest. We have a limit of 15 spots open for this trip so e-mail me back at mikelly@udel.edu as soon as possible to reserve your spot. There is no cost for the trip and transportation will be provided. I hope to see many of you out there on the 15th!
