While trying to decide my major, this is a topic I think about often and after thinking about it, definitely believe, that you should study what you love over what you believe will get you a job. I believe this, because if you just study what you think will get you a job, you won’t really be guaranteed to enjoy your career everyday which would be terrible, because then you really would not have any motivation to go to work besides making money. If you choose an area to study for what you love, than you will enjoy what you are doing and once you get a job doing what you love, it won’t really feel like a job.
I feel like Life is very short and would probably be better spent doing something that is fulfilling as well as something that you enjoy. Along with doing something that you love over something that you believe will make you more money, you also have to consider that since you are choosing this, you may not be making as much money as you would like. I feel like the reward of doing something that you love, would make up for the pay cut that you would have to make. Life is not just about money and shouldn’t have to be the center of everything that you do.
While I am still trying to decide on my major, I am looking into areas that I find interesting and that I “love” as well as how I can use the things that I love in order to find a job where I can earn a decent amount of money to live comfortably. In conclusion, I believe that when deciding what to study, I need to consider something that I love that I can earn enough money to live comfortably.
I completely agree! You have to choose something you love because if you don’t you’ll end up being miserable for the rest of your life. You’ll end up dreading going to work every single day! It is so important to choose something to major in that interests you.
