Bio: Amber grew up in Inver Grove Heights, MN and received her bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University in 2013. Her prior research was in the repolarization of Tumor Associated Macrophages using a variety of functionalized polystyrene particles, to promote tumor regression. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Chemical Engineering Department at the University of Delaware.
Research Interests: Amber is working on establishing and characterizing a hierarchically structured hydrogel system using self-assembling collagen mimetic peptides to serve as a 3D model to study collagenous tissue repair and fibrosis progression.
Fun Facts: In her spare time Amber loves to cook, read, watch just about any crime show, and train and compete in triathlons.
