Michael Dummeldinger
Bio: Michael Dummeldinger is from Hatboro, Pennsylvania, and attended Upper Moreland High School prior to coming to UD. He is entering his senior year and plans to graduate with an Honors Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering Degree with Distinction upon completion of his senior thesis in the spring of 2014. He also has minors in Chemistry and Sustainable Energy Technology. Prior to working with Dr. Kloxin, Michael performed research with Brian McCandless at the Institute of Energy Conversion at UD.
Research Interests: Michael’s current project involves the synthesis of collagen mimetic peptides and related hydrogels to form a culture platform for examining the development of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
Fun Facts: Michael enjoys playing tennis on weekends and playing intramural soccer at UD. He has been playing saxophone since 4th grade and plays in the UD Symphonic Band. His other interests include trains, aquariums, and broomball.
