Megan Smithmyer
Bio: Megan graduated from North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a minor in biotechnology. There she participated in undergraduate research experiences involving protein engineering and synthetic biology. She is currently a graduate student in the Chemical Engineering Ph.D. program at University of Delaware.
Research Interests: Megan is investigating environmental cues that trigger fibroblast activation using a synthetic hydrogel model of the human lung.
Fun Facts: In her spare time Megan enjoys homebrewing and backpacking.
