2020 COACHE Faculty Climate Survey

In 2020 UD partnered with the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) (Harvard Graduate School of Education) to administer a Faculty Satisfaction Survey. This survey allows for benchmarking the experiences of UD faculty to those of colleagues at peer institutions.

2016 UD ADVANCE Faculty Climate Survey

The 2016 survey is a revised version of the “Study of Faculty Worklife,” conducted by UD ADVANCE in spring 2014.  While the content of the 2016 survey is similar to the 2014 instrument, the research team added a more robust set of items and scales for topic including mentoring, climate for diversity, work life balance, and departmental climate.

2014 UD Faculty Work-Life Survey

The “Study of Faculty Work-Life” survey was designed by the UD ADVANCE team with the aim of understanding campus climate for all full-time (FT) faculty at UD. The survey provided data on a broad set of topics such as promotion and tenure, evaluation, merit, workload, family-friendly policies, mentoring and career satisfaction. Six hundred forty-four (53% of FT faculty) faculty members responded to the survey, and 472 (39% of FT faculty) completed all sections.
