Michael Babak Papah receives his PhD degree in Animal and Food Sciences. Congratulations, Dr. Papah!
Our lab paper “Evidence and role of phlebitis and lipid infiltration in the onset and pathogenesis of Wooden Breast Disease in modern broiler chickens. Avian Pathology in 2017″ was selected by the World Poultry Veterinary Association as the best paper published in Avian Pathology in 2017 and 2018 and received the Bart Rispens Research Award at the World Conference WVPAC 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. The prize, sponsored by MSD Animal Health, is one of the major prizes delivered by the World Poultry Veterinary Association, and it included a monetary award and travel costs for PhD candidate Michael Babak Papah (first author of the paper) to attend the conference.

Joseph is currently a Computational Biologist at GSK. He is Developing bioinformatic analysis pipelines and writing new programs to analyze complex data sets to help assist with identifying new drug targets for cancer research.
