Each year a workshop led by professionals is held with a topic related to negotiating skills, improving communication skills, the job search, workplace environments and interviewing skills.
An annual workshop is led by senior graduate students for new graduate students on “What do you need to know to thrive as a graduate student in Engineering at the University of Delaware?”
Each year WIE graduate women host a special speaker for the College to present paths to success in the workplace, integration of family responsibilities and workplace responsibilities, and her specific experience.
The committee plans to meet with undergraduate students to share with them what the graduate experience and training programs are and to initiate goal oriented planning among the students.
A group of graduate women visit area high schools and present their research to the math and science teachers. Click here to learn more about this program.
