Sue McNeil Elected Distinguished Member of ASCE

Sue McNeil, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, has been elected a distinguished member of the American Society of Civil Engineers in recognition of her “pioneering contributions to the redevelopment of brownfield sites, for infrastructure management education and research, and for efforts to strengthen diversity in the civil engineering profession.” The oldest engineering society in the United States, with members in 174 countries, ASCE has bestowed distinguished membership on only 650 people in its 163-year history.
