Angela Holmberg, graduate student in chemical and biomolecular engineering, was awarded an American Chemical Society (ACS) Green Chemistry Travel Award. The ACS Green Chemistry Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote “the implementation of green chemistry and engineering across the global chemical enterprise.” Since 2009, the institute has awarded the Ciba Travel Award in Green Chemistry to students “who show endeavor and ability to integrate green chemistry solutions into their research for sustainability.” Angela was chosen for her research on “bio-based alternatives to petroleum-based polymers.” >> Read More |
