How it works

Spring Into Motion is an online physical activity challenge that encourages you to get out there and MOVE! During this 6-week challenge, you will travel the world to virtually visit international spring festivals as you accumulate steps/minutes. You can choose to participate as an individual or on a team of 4-6 members. If you would like to track your steps, you can purchase a Fitbit Zip as part of the program. Any Fitbit device will sync directly with the Spring Into Motion program. You can also use any other wearable device, pedometer, or step tracker and manually add these steps into the program. There is a step conversion chart available which will allow you to add your other activities to your daily step count. This guide will help you get started with your Fitbit. You also have the option to track physical activity minutes as part of this program. If you engage in a variety of other activities besides walking/running (i.e., swimming, biking, gardening), minutes may be a more effective way for you to assess and track your physical activity. As a participant of Spring Into Motion, you will also have access to

  • Buds- a friends feature that allows you to encourage and keep one another on track
  • The Buzz- an interactive message board to post your successes, photos, or read tips from the experts
  • Wellness tips (emailed daily or weekly based on your preference)
  • Over 250 healthy recipes The mobile app to make syncing & tracking your steps even easier
